Tips When Measuring the Finish Length

• above window 5-6" normally
• Sill Length: measure just above sill approximately 1/2"
• Apron Length: measure 2" below wood molding under sill or 5" below sill if there is no molding
• To clear floor: measure 1/2" off floor is standard
• Break on floor: add 1/2" to 1"
• Puddle: add 2" to 15"

Measuring for Finished Width

• Measure window width to determine how far beyond each side of the window opening or casing the rod will be installed. It is best to go out a minimum of 5" each side.
• Add to that measurement 12" for overlaps and returns. Our standard return is 3-1/2" if larger one is needed please specify

Measuring for Finished Length

• Measure from the top of the rod or bottom of the ring to the floor or carpet or the exact length of the drapery as described above
